Travis was happy. Not just happy, excited. It had been a while since he just kicked back and sailed one of his boats. Even during the summer something always got in his way and stopped him from having a good time.
However, today was different. Today there was no last minute homework to do, prefect duty, or drama going on.
"Kyle!" he grin, spotting his step-brother. |

"Travis," he greeted him, a matching grin spreading across his face. "Brought my old boat."
Kyle showed the little boat, with its slightly peeling paint. They'd been using it since Travis' mum had first moved in.
"Looks like she could use some work," he joked, showing off his latest creation.
"I've got to test this baby out."
"She won't let me down," Kyle promised, using a charm to try and fix up the paint. It was only sort of working.
"Where's Amanda? She coming?"
"She's busy making nice with Julie," he said, shrugging. It was kind of lonely with out her bugging him all the time.
Kyle raised an eyebrow, but let it go. He honestly didn't want to get involved.
"Well, all the more fun for us," he reasoned, kneeling down on the grass next to the lake, to get his boat in.
"And we can be sure our boats won't get sunk," he laughed, placing his newest creation in the water next to Kyle's.
Kyle chuckled. "No sabatoge today, that's true."
"Totally fair race."
Travis stood back up and admired the two boats floating next to each other. They looked great.
"We don't really have any current," Kyle remarked, trying to think.
"We'll both use the same spell, then?" | |
